Mar 07 Men's Final Concludes at World Cup #1

Sam Sacksen (Somerset, Pa.) was the top U.S. finisher on Saturday during the men's final round of competition at World Cup #1 in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Sacksen placed 19th with 5464 points.

Other U.S. finishers included Will Brady (Howell, Mich.) in 31st place with 5292 points and Dennis Bowsher (Dallas, Texas) who placed 35th with a total of 5092. 

The gold medal went to David Svoboda of the Czech Republic who tallied 5868 points. He was joined on the podium by Russia's Serguei Karyakin who won the silver medal with 5724 points, and bronze medalist Andrejus Zadneprovskis who totaled 5720.

The women's final will take place on Sunday with American Margaux Isaksen (Fayetteville, Ark.) in action.
