First World Cup of 2010 Set to Begin in Mexico

The first World Cup of the 2010 season begins Thursday in Playa del Carmen, Mexico and runs through Sunday.

The men's qualification competition kicks off the action on Thursday, March 4, followed by the women's qualification on Friday, March 5.

The men's individual final will be held on Saturday, March 6, with the women's final wrapping up the competition on Sunday, March 7.

Five U.S. athletes will be competing in this weekend's event, including 2008 Olympians Eli Bremer (Monument, Colo.), Margaux Isaksen (Fayetteville, Ark.) and Sam Sacksen (Somerset, Pa.). Rounding out the team are Dennis Bowsher (Dallas, Texas) and Will Brady (Howell, Mich.).

Isaksen placed 14th at last year's World Cup Final and 17th at the 2009 World Championships. Brady was the top U.S. finisher at last year's World Championships, placing 14th, and Sacksen finished 22nd.
