Mar 07 Bowsher and Andrews Win San Antonio Qualifier

Dennis Bowsher (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and Emily Andrews (Absecon, N.J.) were the male and female winners, respectively, during Sunday's Senior World Cup qualifying event in San Antonio, Texas. The event was a chance for senior pentathletes to earn points to qualify for 2010 World Cups and 2010 World Championships.

Bowsher accumulated 5784 total points to finish ahead of Will Brady (Colorado Springs, Colo.) and Sam Sacksen (Newark, Del.). Brady finished with 5776 points and Sacksen had 5696.

Andrews won the women's competition with 3960 points. Ashley Ridge (San Diego, Calif.) was second with 3872 points and Rendy Opdycke (Mission Viejo, Calif.) placed third with 2744.
