Men's Qualification Results from Junior Worlds

The men's qualification round wrapped up Friday at the Modern Pentathlon Junior World Championships in Szekesfehervar, Hungary.
John Gibbons (Colorado Springs, Colo.) turned in the best score for the Americans with 3908 points which placed him 30th in Semifinal Group B. Gibbons was 32nd in the fencing with 12 victories, ninth in the swim with a time of 2:07.84, and 27th in the combined run/shoot with a time of 12:42.55. 
Also in Semifinal Group B was Lucas Schrimsher (Roswell, N.M.) who placed 33rd with 3732 points. He was 34th in the fencing with 11 wins, 15th in the swim with a clocking of 2:08.72, and 34th in the combined with a time of 13:17.83.
In Semifinal Group A, Hans Lauzen (Aurora, Ill.) placed 36th with 2884 points. He had eight wins in the fencing competition and turned in times of 2:32.39 in the swim and 15:17.67 in the combined.
