Székesfehérvár, Hungary.  Beijing Olympian Margaux Isaksen today continued a successful 2009 World cup season by qualifying for the final of World Cup 3 which will be held on Saturday, May 16.  Coming off a top ten finish (9th) in Mexico City last month, she easily qualified by finishing sixth in her qualifying group of 26 athletes today (May 14).

Isaksen started the day in the fencing hall in tied with two other competitors in twelfth place by scoring only one touch below 800 points.  She moved up two places after swimming a personal best performance in the 50 meter long pool and finishing third in her qualifying group.  The highlight of the day for Isaksen was a third place finish in the combined run/shoot event.  This performance moved her up to a sixth place overall spot in her qualifying group.  Complete results can be found at the UIPM website by clicking HERE or the website of CARDSYS by clicking HERE.
