Margaux Isaksen and Sam Sacksen Qualify for Finals at the 2007 Modern Pentathlon Junior World Championships in Caldas da Rainha, Portugal

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Fifteen year-old Margaux Isaksen (Fayetteville, Ark./Colorado Springs, Colo.) scored 4,224 total points to win her Group B semifinal at the 2007 Modern Pentathlon Junior World Championships to advance to tomorrow's final in Caldas da Rainiha, Portugal. She will be joined in the finals by Sam Sacksen (Somerset, Pa./Colorado Springs, Colo.) on the boy's side. Sacksen will compete in the boy's final on Friday, September 28 after finishing 12th in the Group A semifinal with 4,228 total points.

Also representing the United States, but not advancing to the final was Sam's sister Rachel Sacksen (Somerset, Pa.) and John Gibbons (Oxfordshire, England). Rachel finished 28th (3,444 total points) in the girl's Group B semifinal while Gibbons was 35th (3,548 total points) in the boy's Group A semifinal.

The USA Pentathlon Team is coached by Janusz Peciak (Colorado Springs, Colo.).
