May 29 Margaux Isaksen Finishes 18th in Semifinal Group A to Squeak into the Finals of Modern Pentathlon World Championships as lone U.S. Women

For Immediate Release May 29, 2008 Margaux Isaksen Finishes 18th in Semifinal Group A to Squeak into the Finals of the Modern Pentathlon World Championships as lone U.S. Women COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.-Margaux Isaksen (Fayetteville, Ark./Colorado Springs, Colo.) used her run to get into the top 18 of the women's semifinal Group A at the 2008 Modern Pentathlon World Championships today in Budapest, Hungary to earn the final qualification slot for Saturday's final. Isaksen was the only U.S. women to advance from the semifinal round to the finals on Saturday. Emily Shertzer (Hershey, Pa./Colorado Springs, Colo.) and Michelle "Mickey"Kelly (Chatham, N.Y./Colorado Springs, Colo./U.S. Army) both finished 23rd in their semifinal groups A and B respectively, but did not advance to the final round.
