COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (Maye 31, 2008)- Margaux Isaksen (Fayetteville, Ark./Colorado Springs, Colo.), the lone American woman to qualify for the final round of the 2008 Modern Pentathlon World Championships, finished 29th today in Budapest, Hungary in the final event of the 2008 Olympic qualifying season. Isaksen scored a total of 5,172 total points.
Eli Bremer (Monument, Colo./Colorado Springs, Colo./U.S. Air Force) will carry the flag for the United States tomorrow in the men's final.
Emily Shertzer (Hershey, Pa./Colorado Springs, Colo.), Michelle "Mickey" Kelly (Chatham, N.Y./Colorado Springs, Colo./U.S. Army), Dennis Bowsher (Dallas, Texas/Colorado Springs, Colo./U.S. Army), Sam Sacksen (Somerset, Pa./Colorado Springs, Colo.) and Niul Manske (Colorado Springs, Colo./U.S. Army) also represented the United States in the 2008 World Championships, but all failed to advance past the semifinal round..
