On March 18th, 2014 Post Shredded Wheat along with the National Senior Games Association (NSGA), the governing organization for the largest multi-sport event in the world for adults over age 50, announced that judo will join the NSGA's roster of demonstration sports.

In an effort to encourage people over 50 to pursue new paths toward health and wellness, Post Shredded Wheat challenged the National Senior Games to add a new, more extreme sport to their series of competitions.

From January 22, 2014 to February 24, 2014, fans across America visited www.PostShreddedWheatGames.com and more than 1,800 voted on what the NSGA's new sport should be in its biennial national competition. Voters chose from five sports - judo, weightlifting, power walking, fencing and soccer - to join the Senior Games and judo came out on top.

The demonstration sport will be featured int he 2015 National Senior Games Presented by Humana, to be held in Bloomington/Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota July 3-16, 2015.

We would like to thank all who voted for Judo and now is the perfect opportunity to donate to USA Judo!

Donations to the Veterans (previsously known as Masters) program assist USA Judo with continuing to build competition opportunities and programs that keep our Veterans members engaged in the sport of judo.
