Larsen (USA Judo Training Site, Olympic Training Center, Colorado Springs, CO) went 3-1 to climb the podium at the Pan American Open. "I got out there, did my thing, played judo, played smart and won some matches," Larsen said. Both Larsen and Brown were fighting in the 90 kg. division. Brown (USA Judo Training Site, San Jose State University Judo, San Jose, CA) won two matches before losing to Larsen in the semi-finals but then took bronze in repechage.
