Held at the School of Hard Knocks in Spring, TX, following the Houston Open Judo Tournament, was a coaching clinic Sunday that covered topics including local and regional coaching standards, rules, changes in competition and more. Participants came from Texas and neighboring states, joined by Marcus Schaufele from Capitol Judo in Alaska. “It was discussed that USA Judo was committed to a program of uniformity of excellence and that Coach Director, Pat Burris, was driving these standards across the States,” said Manmohan Chima, vice president of Texas Judo Inc, and head coach of North Texas Judokai.
