USA Judo has signed up to participate in 2013 World University Games and this will provide collegiate athletes with a self-funded international competition opportunity. The event will occur in Kazan, Russia from July 6^th until July 17^th. The team will depart on July 4^th with expected competition dates of 7-11 for the Judo event. The USA team would return a day after the closing ceremonies. Current cost for this event is $1,700 per participant plus the cost of airfare. Because USA Judo has to respond to the organizing committee, we need to identify athletes that are interested in participating on this event. In the case that there is more than one athlete interested per division, we would use the national roster to select the athlete that will attend the event.
