(Colorado Springs, Colo.) - USA Judo is pleased to announce that on-line registration is now available for the U.S. Open Championships, Sept. 25-26 in San Jose, Calif.

U.S. participants in the senior, kata, master's and visually divisions can register for the event at https://webpoint.usjudo.org/wp/Events/ViewTournament.asp?EventID=272.

"It has been long time coming, but we finally got the registration for our events fully online which we hope will make it easier for our athletes, coaches and parents to register for any of our national events," said USA Judo CEO Jose H. Rodriguez (Colorado Springs, Colo.)  "Our registration packets are now being revisited and we aim to make those a lot smaller and simpler. And later this month, at the Junior Olympics in Orlando, we will be introducing a new membership card which will have the picture of the member, verification of rank and birthdate.  USA Judo will continue to strive to use the latest available technology to make our sport more user friendly at both end of the spectrum."

A USA Judo Senior B-Level Point Tournament in the senior divisions, the U.S. Open will be held at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center, just minutes from the campus of San Jose State University.

The Visually Impaired U.S. Open Championships also will serve as the trials for the 2010 International Blind Sports Association World Championships.  For more information, click here
