LONDON(AP) A London waiter has been jailed for life for killing former Olympic athlete Tamas Bujko.

A London court handed down the sentence Monday in connection with the killing of the Hungarian judo fighter last year.

Ferenc Ifi, 35, beat and stabbed the 45-year-old Bujko and threw acid in his face after ambushing him at a cash machine in London. The attack followed a previous clash between the two men.

Bujko, who won a silver medal at the 1983 world championships and bronze in 1985, finished fifth at the 1988 Seoul Olympics.
