Panamerican Judo Confederation Meets in Rotterdam During the IJF Congress

Twenty-three countries from the Pan American region were represented at a meeting of the Panamerican Judo Confederation on Saturday in Rotterdam, Netherlands. 

The PJC met during the International Judo Federation Congress in Rotterdam prior to the World Championships which will be held beginning on Wednesday.  The PJC was the second largest regional federation present at the Congress behind Europe.   

IJF President Marius Vizer was present at the session that included nations from the United States, Brazil, Cuba, Mexico, Venezuela, Barbados, Colombia, Ecuador, Panama, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Canada, Puerto Rico, Guatemala, Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and others.

 USA Judo was represented by General Secretary Dr. Ron Tripp (Norman, Okla.) and CEO Jose H. Rodriguez (Colorado Springs, Colo.)  Dr. Tripp serves as the President of the North and Central Americas region for the PJC and Rodriguez is the Director of Development.  

 IJF Congress meetings will continue through Sunday.
