After becoming just the third U.S. player to win a Junior World Championship title on Saturday, 18-year-old Kayla Harrison (Wakefield, Mass. / NYAC / USA Judo National Team FORCE)
was surprised with a welcome home party when she arrived home from Bangkok, Thailand at the Boston Logan International Airport on Sunday night.
Harrison was greeted by more than 30 players and family members from Pedro's Judo Center who greeted their new champion with posters, flowers, balloons and gifts.
The local Fox affiliate also was in attendance and Harrison was featured on the Monday evening and Tuesday morning news shows.
