BEIJING (AP) Germany's Ole Bischof won the men's 81-kilogram division Olympic judo gold on Tuesday, defeating Asian champion Kim Jae-bum in the final.
Bischof went ahead with just over a minute remaining and kept on the attack until time ran out. Kim, exhausted from a semifinal that went into overtime, had no strength to fight back.
For bronze, Brazilian world champion Tiago Camilo pinned Giullaume Elmont of the Netherlands, the 2005 world champion, and Ukraine's Roman Gontiuk outscored Mongolia's Nyanmkhuu Damdinsuren.
Judo awards two bronze medals for each weight class.
