Florida's Sunshine State Games

Since 1980, the Sunshine State Games has been providing opportunities for Floridians to train and compete in amateur sports. The longest-standing State Games in the nation, the Sunshine State Games is celebrating its 35th Anniversary. Judo is one of the original sports of the Games, making this the 35th consecutive year this tournament has been conducted for Judo players in Florida. Over the years, many Judo competitors have participated, including Olympians Brian Olson and Ato Hand. Held in partnership with Florida Judo, Inc., the Sunshine State Games serves as Florida’s Judo State Championships and is sanctioned by USA Judo. Registration is still open for the Sunshine State Games, and is available online at www.flasports.com through June 18, 2014. On-site registration is available on the evening of June 20, 2014.
