USA Field Hockey Accepting Nominations for 2014 Hall of Fame

After nearly a decade, USA Field Hockey is pleased to reinstate the USA Field Hockey Hall of Fame to give back to the members who have given so much to the sport. USA Field Hockey is currently accepting nominations to the Hall of Fame as well as nominations for USA Field Hockey Honorary Members. Wednesday, March 19 is the final date to submit nominations to The Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will take place Saturday, June 28 in Lancaster, Pa.

The USA Field Hockey Hall of Fame is designed to honor members of Team USA who have enhanced the sport of field hockey through exceptional achievements. The criteria for selection into the USA Field Hockey Hall of Fame is based on achievement as an athlete of a USA Team, including long-term supremacy, innovation and contributions to the sport. Nominees must be out of competition on the national level for at least five years. More information on Hall of Fame criteria and nomination forms can be found here.

USA Field Hockey Honorary Membership is designed to honor those who have given long and exceptional service to USA Field Hockey and have made significant contributions to the sport in the U.S. or internationally. Nominees must have participated at the national level, playing, umpiring, coaching and/or given service on national committees for at least fifteen years.
