Follow the Men's National Team as they continue to train harder and dig deeper in 2014
The U.S. Men’s National Team is punching-in to their turf-laden office but won’t be clocking out for a continuous 365 days. When you’re chasing a dream as big as World League Champions and hosting a globally sought-after tournament, there are No Off Days.
To bring to light the daily hustle our Men’s National Team has committed to for 2014 and beyond, USA Field Hockey has developed the #NoOffDays initiative. #NoOffDays is a year-long campaign that zooms in on the guys’ weekend weights, early a.m. runs and plates of meticulously planned nutritious meals. The campaign will be told through various media platforms including compelling video segments to help promote the sport. With this close-up and personal look at the team, USA Field Hockey hopes to further generate interest in field hockey through the voices and eyes of U.S. male athletes.
“It is difficult to explain what the experiences and feelings of being an international athlete are,” said Chris Clements Men’s National Team Head Coach. “The implementation, commitment and desire to represent your country and the day to day decision making and actions that allow for a true athlete to be successful are often unnoticed. The emotions positive and negative, the challenges physically, tactically, technically and mentally all have to be accommodated and addressed alongside being a young male succeeding at school or in the workplace.”
