If you intend to attend this trial, please contact Women’s Masters Coordinator Pam Stuper at pamela.stuper@yale.edu as soon as possible, but by February 19, so we can have an idea of numbers and have contact information in case of a late weather cancellation. Please arrive at the field at least 30 minutes before the start for admin and warm-up. There will be a fee of $25 per player for the trial (please bring cash).

***If you cannot attend the February trial, March 1 will serve as a second opportunity to be evaluated. For those who attend February 22, it will be a second playing opportunity before the teams are announced the following week.

Please arrive at the field at least 30 minutes before the start for admin and warm-up. There will be a fee of $25 per player for the practice (please bring cash).

Attendance at trials is highly encouraged, but is not mandatory for selection. The trials are an opportunity for those who have already expressed interest in playing to demonstrate both their fitness and hockey skills to the selectors. Trials will include skills, small games, and scrimmage. Selections will be made primarily using performance at trials. At this time we are exploring the possibility of Trials also being located in California and Florida, more information will follow. If you are unable to attend, the coaches and/or selectors may use your performance at previous Thanksgiving Festivals, tournaments and/or adult leagues. Clearly the best way to be selected is to attend a trial. However, for those who are unable to attend these trials and who have not been seen in the last year, it will be your responsibility to best represent your field hockey skills to selectors through an interview process that will cover past and current level of play, current exercise routine and current level of fitness. It is suggested that video evidence of recent match play, training and/or exercise routines showing skills and fitness levels is the best way of showing to selectors your abilities, if you are unable to attend a selection trial.

To participate in the trials, players must be members of USA Field Hockey. Membership is needed for insurance and liability reasons. All players must bring evidence of current USA Field Hockey membership and a completed liability release form. If you are not already a USA Field Hockey Member, a temporary membership can be obtained for the event only for just $10.

We look forward to seeing you at the trials! GO USA!!
