US Mens National Head Coach Conducts Boys and Coaching Clinics

Sept. 27, 2013, 9:22 p.m. (ET)

USA Field Hockey is pleased to announce that Men's National Coach, Chris Clements will be traveling to Virginia Beach, Va. and Miami / Key Biscayne Fla., to run athlete and coaching clinics to simply promote the sport of field hockey for boys and men.  Virginia Beach and Miami / Key Biscayne are just two areas that USA Field Hockey sees as necessary to not only present the sport to boys, but also develop these areas for future growth.

"It is exciting to see an increase in the pool of players and areas of development of the game for boys and men across the country," said Clements.  "With the assistance of key people in the regions, our game will grow for all involved and provide further opportunities to excel in the competitive environment."

While in Florida and Virginia, Clements will also offer clinics for girls as well as coaches of all ages and levels.

This is a tremendous opportunity to learn from one of the world’s most reputable and outstanding coaches in the sport. Not only will athletes walkaway with newly acquired game knowledge but they will also find a new love and passion for field hockey. Lifelong memories will be created as history is made and fun is had at these youth clinics.

"The opportunity to get out to the community and support their efforts is important to aid in the development of the game and provide feedback to coaches and players first hand,” said Clements. “I am excited to see what the coaches and players from the South Region have to offer."
