Colorado Springs, Colo. – November 20, 2013 – USA Field Hockey has released the 2014 National Indoor Qualifier Assignments today on usafieldhockey.com. The assignments come after a 14 percent increase in the number of applications received.
This year, both the Under-16 and Under-19 Indoor Qualifiers will enable the top 40 percent of teams to attend the National Indoor Tournament in March of 2014. This is a 10 percent increase from last year for the Under-16 division.
Per new changes to the FIH rules of indoor hockey, the 2014 National Indoor Qualifiers and 2014 National Indoor Tournaments will adopt the Hockey 5’s model, decreasing the number of players on the court from six to five.

The National Indoor Qualifiers, held annually during December through February, are the official qualifying tournaments for the National Indoor Tournament. The National Indoor Tournament, held annually in late February and early March, pulls together standout indoor clubs and competitors from across the nation for the opportunity to compete on the national stage and be crowned an indoor national champion.
