Marketing Communications Coordinator position open

The role of the Marketing Communications Coordinator is to work closely with the Communications Manager as well as the National Office Staff, National Team coaching staff and members to execute the strategic vision for the organization as it relates to all forms of marketing and communications. The Marketing Communications Coordinator will be responsible for managing key accounts of USA Field Hockey’s sponsors, suppliers, and licensees, providing client support to vendors at national and regional events, managing advertising in USA Field Hockey’s magazine, event programs and other publications, managing the Partner Camp program and assisting with the creation and updating of content on USA Field Hockey’s website and social media platforms with the mission of increasing awareness of the sport in the United States and enhancing commercial revenues. 

The Marketing Communications Coordinator reports to the Communications Manager. 

Duties include but are not limited to: 

1. Manage key accounts of USA Field Hockey’s sponsors, suppliers and licensees. Tasks include: 

a. Fulfillment of partner benefits in USA Field Hockey’s marketing materials and publications, digital and print. 
b. Fulfillment of partner benefits at USA Field Hockey events 
c. Fulfillment of specific benefits unique to each partner
d. Nurture client relationships, respond to client needs, be proactive in presenting partners with opportunities to gain further value as a USA Field Hockey partner

2. Provide client support to vendors at USA Field Hockey national events. Tasks include: 

a. Maintaining reservation database
b. Answering client queries
c. Liaising with partner venues to ensure all aspects of the vendor village are properly planned and executed.
d. Responsible for working with Finance Dept. to ensure invoicing process is timely and accurate.

3. Provide client support to advertisers for USA Field Hockey publications.

a. Maintaining reservation database and handling artwork.
b. Generating sales by promoting advertising opportunities to non-USA Field Hockey sponsors in both the digital and print editions of FHLife magazine.
c. Providing editorial support for FHLife magazine.
d. Responsible for working with Finance Department to ensure invoicing process is timely and accurate.

4. Provide client support to Partner Camps.

a. Maintaining reservation database.
b. Answering client queries.
c. Liaising with Partner Camps to ensure all benefits are fulfilled (on and in FHLife magazine)
d. Responsible for working with Finance Department to ensure invoicing process is timely and accurate.

5. Provide editorial support, editing and updating for and FHLife magazine.

a. Generating story ideas and writing feature articles for both the website and magazine.
b. Ensuring accuracy of sponsor related content on all media platforms. 

6. Support day-to-day engagement efforts on USA Field Hockey’s social media platforms 

a. Including twitter, facebook, instagram, pinterest.
b. Creating promotions for sponsor awareness with social media contests and games.
c. Generating regular content for posting.

7. Assist with monitoring and reporting on performance metrics of and USA Field Hockey’s social media platforms.

8. Maintain USA Field Hockey’s eblast calendar and ensure all staff members are aware of the latest version

9. Assist with maintaining an organized library of images of athletes, events, etc.

10. Manage market research projects and creating and maintain media distribution lists

11. Assist with preparing sponsorship documents.

12. Other duties as assigned.
