Disney Field Hockey Showcase commences tomorrow at ESPN Wide World of Sports

ORLANDO, Fla.- February 6, 2013 – Disney Field Hockey Showcase is the ultimate place for top field hockey clubs to be seen by hundreds of college coaches looking for great field hockey talent. The four day showcase event held at the ESPN Wide World of Sports in Orlando, Fla. commences tomorrow and will feature over 3,300 athletes from across the United States.

“We are excited to welcome everyone back to the ESPN Wide World of Sports where talent is showcased and family and friends are able to experience the magic of Disney,” said Karen Collins, Director of Events and Logistics. “We are thrilled this event continues to grow in number of participates and level of talent each and every year and we look forward to another successful event here at the proving grounds.”  

The Disney Field Hockey Showcase is one of six USA Field Hockey national events, where talented high school aged athletes on club teams display their skills in front of hundreds of college coaches and recruiters. The Disney Field Hockey Showcase typically held in the beginning of February, originated seven years ago and began with just 56 teams. It now features over 180 teams and 3,300 athletes competing on 15 pristine field hockey pitches.
