COLORADO SPRINGS, CO – August 29, 2013 – USA Field Hockey has officially opened the Host Applications for the 2014 National Indoor Qualifying Tournaments. Throughout December, January and February, more than 500 indoor teams and 5,000 athletes will compete for qualification into the prized National Indoor Tournaments in early March of next year.
Member clubs, Convention and Visitor’s Bureaus and local tournament organizers can apply now to hold a National Indoor Qualifier in their city. USA Field Hockey requires the proposed venue to consist of a minimum of two hard-surface courts and host a minimum of 16 teams. Event and volunteer staff will be assessed to insure that the tournament will be well run. A variety of nearby hotel accommodations with rates consistent with the lowest off-season prices is also required.

The National Indoor Qualifiers, held annually during December through February, are the official qualifying tournaments for the National Indoor Tournament. The National Indoor Tournament, held annually in late February and early March, pulls together standout indoor clubs and competitors from across the nation for the opportunity to compete on the national stage and be crowned an indoor national champion.
