Young U.S. squad gaining valuable experience playing world’s best at Four Nations

The No. 2 world ranked team and 2012 Olympic silver medalists topped the U.S. Women’s National Team tonight in the final match of the first leg of the Four Nations tournament in Whangarei, New Zealand. The U.S. did not allow a goal in the second half, but three goals by Argentina in the first half led to a 3-0 final result.

U.S. Women's Team to battle Argentina for third place at Four Nations

Team USA is set to play Argentina in the third place match Saturday, April 13 at 9:00 p.m. ET after falling this evening to host New Zealand, 5-0, while New Zealand and Korea will meet in the final of the first Four Nations tournament in Whangarei, New Zealand.

U.S. tops No. 8 Korea, 2-1, at Four Nations Tournament(April 11, 2013)

The U.S. Women’s National Team earned a 2-1 win against No. 8 Korea as striker Torrie Albini (Escondido, Cali.) opened the scoring in the 2nd minute and midfielder Rachel Dawson (Berlin, N.J.) nabbed a goal in the 66th minute to seal the victory.
