U-21 Men's Team closes out 2012 with series against Canada

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - The U.S. U-21 Junior Men’s Team will close out 2012 by hosting Canada’s U-21 Squad at Moorpark College in Moorpark, CA, December 17-21 for a four game test series.

“We have selected a squad with a good mix of experience and first-timers,” said Chris Clements, Men’s National Team Head Coach. “We hope to continue to develop our style of play in this series and build upon our tactical knowledge.”

Four players selected to the upcoming series recently participated in World League Round 1, including Michael Barminski (Ventura, CA), Christian Linney (San Diego, CA), Tyler Sundeen (Simi Valley, CA) and Paul Singh (Simi Valley, CA). World League Round 1 was held at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, CA the week prior to Thanksgiving. The U.S. swept the series, scoring a total of 24 goals on their two opponents and advanced to World League Round 2 held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil in early March.

In addition, three players from the recent U-17 U.S. verse Canada series have been added to the U-21 roster for the upcoming series, including Trent Warren, Josh Schindler, Nicholas Richardson, and Jaspreet Gill. 

The schedule is as follows: 

December 17 and 18 @ 2:30 p.m., December 20 and 21 @ 10:00 a.m.
