COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO. – Today, the Futures Elite Athletes selected to the 2013 program were announced. Athletes were selected to Futures Elite from the 2012 Futures Elite Championship, National Futures Championship, and the AAU Junior Olympics. 

Futures Elite represents the best high school field hockey athletes in the country.  These athletes have been identified as having the skills, talent, and potential to successfully continue through the Future Elite Program. Futures Elite includes approximately 175-200 athletes within the U14, U16 and U19 age groups.

The selected athletes will carry the title of Futures Elite throughout the rest of 2012 until the 2013 National Futures Championship, next June.  As a member of Futures Elite, athletes will be eligible to participate in the Futures Elite Academy Program starting in March 2013 and will have the opportunity to be selected to the highly competitive Futures Elite Championship.
