Argentina Defeats USA in Start of Four Nation Tournament

Argentina Defeats USA in Start of Four Nation Tournament

MENDOZA, ARGENTINA – The USA Women’s National Field Hockey Team played in their first match against Argentina in Mendoza, Argentina tonight. Argentina defeated USA 5-0, scoring all goals in the first half. 

USA was able to pick up the tempo in the second half and hold Argentina scoreless. Unfortunately, USA also remained scoreless in the second half and the victory went to Argentina, currently ranked #1 in the world.

The schedule for the remaining matches in the series is as follows, with all times listed in local CET and EST.

  • Thursday, February 10 - Australia vs USA at 7:00pm CET/5:00pm EST
  • Saturday, February 12 - Germany vs USA at 7:00pm CET/5:00pm EST

Following the conclusion of this series, USA will travel to Rosario, Argentina for a second Four Nations Tournament, February 16-20.
