USA U19 finishes series with Chile 3-0-1
The USA U19 Women's National Team completed their series against Chile in Santiago, Chile with a 3 win, zero loss and one tie record. USA earned a 2-0 victory over the Chilean Team in the final match of the series.
USA led Chile, 1-0 at the half. Abby Beltrani (East Setauket, NY) connected the ball with Allison Evans (Macungie, Pa) who slipped a shot past the keeper with less than one minute remaining.
Nikki Parsley (Milford, DE) found Maxine Fluharty (Millsboro, DE) for USA's second and final goal of the match.
“There was tremendous growth over the course of this series and today we did a great job of putting it all together," said Carla Tagliente, Head Coach. "Obviously, we are pleased with the results but what is most rewarding is to see the commitment the athletes have shown to the process and to individual and team improvement."
This is the final competition for the U19 team. They will now play for their Junior or Senior High Performance Centers and compete at the Women’s National Championship or Junior National Championship and stand for selection for Junior National Camp, which is later this summer, July 12-15 at Old Dominion University.
