USA Field Hockey
Announcement of advisory club task force
COLORADO SPRINGS, C.O. - USA Field Hockey is pleased to announce the creation of an advisory club task force. In early April, USA Field Hockey began collecting names of Club administrators with interest in standing on an advisory club task force committee. Twenty-eight Club members responded expressing interest. From that group of individuals, the candidates were narrowed to nine based on geographical location, club size diversity and gender equality.
“We received a pool of great applicants,” said Steve Locke, Executive Director. “The selections were made to ensure that clubs large and small were represented as well as all geographical regions across the country. We look forward to working with the task force as we strive to develop premium events and programs for all Clubs.”
The core mission and deliverables of the task force is to provide advice on the operation of the 2012 National Club Championship qualifying system; provide advice on upgrading the National Indoor Tournaments, their qualifying events and the process to qualify; and provide advice on creating a system to eliminate or modify the legacy system applicable to the National Hockey Festival.
The following individuals have been named to the advisory club task force: Brian Bernatchez, Lauren Cornthwaite, Karen Klassner, Richard Kentwell, Kathi Liszewski, Andy Muir, Tina Reinprecht, Nigel Traverso, Larry Zappone. In addition, Randell Sundeen and Heather Lewis from the USA Field Hockey Board of Directors and Steve Locke and Laura Darling from USA Field Hockey will sit on the task force.
