USA Field Hockey is pleased to announce the 2011 Women's Junior National Team coaching staffs. There are three women's Junior National Teams that span the age groups of U17, U19 and U21. All squads were selected at Junior National camp, which was held in mid-July at the University of Maryland.
USA Field Hockey's Technical Director has selected coaches that have proven track records within USA Field Hockey's High Performance Program and also show a willingness to aid in the development of our up and coming athletes.
There have been three coaches selected for each of the age group. Each age group will fulfill a weekend training camp at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista as well as an international tour. Giving these coaches and athletes an opportunity to emulate the Women's National Team program as they develop.
Ainslee Lamb (Head Coach)
Carla Tagliente (Head Coach)
Shellie Onstead (Head Coach)
Justine Sowry has been selected to oversee the goal-keeping program with each of the age groups and will also be assisting with general coaching within each training program.
USA Field Hockey wants to extend a great amount of gratitude to these coaches as they donate a lot of their time to make the USA's development as top notch as possible. Congratulations to all coaches and good luck in 2011!
