USA U-19 Men vs Canada11-12-10Moorpark CA
Game One,   USA  0   Canada 2

The first game of the series was a rather choppy affair.  Initially, neither team was able to generate an effective offense, and the ball was exchanged many times in the mid-field area.  However, at the nine minute mark, a USA substitute failed to pick-up hisman and Canada quickly pressed the advantage.  Canadian Joshua Brown, unmarked with the ball in the circle, flipped a bouncing ball into the near corner, past the on-rushing USA goalie, Spenser Reed.
During the rest of the first half, USA was frustrated in not being able to finish an effective attack within the circle.  Two short corners were squandered by poor execution and at halftime the score remained one to nothing.

In the second half, both sides again had difficulty finding their way into the circle.  However, at 55 minutes, Canada scored on a deflected shot during a short corner, past defender Michael Barminski.  The match ended with Canada ahead but neither side convinced they had played their best.
Rishi Tewarie, USA, and Arif Virjee, Canada, received yellow cards, and Kenny Patrone, USA,received a green card.  For the USA side, Sumedh Shah and Doug Allison did not play.
