USA Men's U19 Game #4
Buenos Aires, Argentina - In the fourth game of a five-game tour in Argentina, US U-19 Men's team scored two goals in the final five minutes to win their first match of the series against Argentina 2-1.
Another tough fought first half, both teams had chances to opening the scoring but it was Argentina on a penalty corner in the 34th minute to take the 1-0 lead into halftime. Argentina had more chances then the US team but many of their attacks were saved by US goal keeper Brandon Karess. US had one penalty corner chance in the half which was saved by the Argentina goal keeper.
In the second half, Argentina continued to try to increase their lead but was unsuccessful as their goal shots were either flying high, wide or saved by Karess. US midfielder Tyler Sundeen orchestrated most of the US attack, as he found Christian Linney in the 65th minute and Linney's low shot was able to equalize the score with five minutes left in the match. US pressed forward looking for their first win south of the equator and had their chance in the 69th minute on a penalty corner. US Johnny Orozco's low drag flick found the backboard and victory for the US team. The US team has a rest day tomorrow and will resume play on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at 11 am (local time), before they fly back to the States.
