MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of the Futures Program is to regionally develop the best athletes for the purpose of identifying talented "future" Olympic level athletes and to strengthen the level of field hockey throughout the United States. 

ABOUT FUTURES

Futures athletes attend 27 hours of specialized training and are instructed by some of the top coaches in the Nation. Futures coaches use a standardized training curriculum that has been developed by USA Field Hockey Technical Director, Terry Walsh- one of the sport's leading coaching authorities. 5100 athletes attend Futures sessions all over the country from January-June on Saturday or Sunday for 3 to 6 hours per session.

After completing 27 hours of training, athletes from all over their regions attend their Regional Tournament which is held in either May or June. At the Regional Futures Championship athletes have the opportunity to be selected to the National Futures Championship and can be selected to begin their journey through the Olympic Pipeline.

SHOWCASE YOUR TALENT

Futures is the Premier Field Hockey development and showcasing program. Every Futures athlete has an opportunity to progress through the Olympic Pipeline starting with the athlete's Futures sessions and Regional Futures Tournament. Athletes are able to develop and showcase their talent in front of an audience of National Selectors and College Coaches. Only FUTURES athletes are able to be selected to showcase their talents in the premier National Futures Championship. From the National Futures Championship athletes are selected for the Junior Olympics and Junior National Camp.

COLLEGE RECRUITMENT

All Futures athletes are included exclusively in the largest College Recruiting Database in the United States! ALL COLLEGE COACHES in the USA have access to this College Recruiting Database. FUTURES is a great way to be noticed by college coaches!

Futures athletes are set apart as PREMIER USA Field Hockey players and standouts for both Olympic Development and College Recruitment.
