Qualifying Format:
U16 (top 30% from Qualifiers)
Qualifying Tournaments with 16 teams qualify the top 5 teams
Qualifying Tournaments with 20 teams qualify the top 6 teams
Qualifying Tournaments with 22 teams qualify the top 7 teams
Qualifying Tournaments with 24 teams qualify the top 7 teams
U19 (top 40% from Qualifiers)
Qualifying Tournaments with 16 teams qualify the top 6 teams
Qualifying Tournaments with 20 teams qualify the top 8 teams
Qualifying Tournaments with 22 teams qualify the top 9 teams
Qualifying Tournaments with 24 teams qualify the top 10 teams
Qualifying Tournament Requirements:

All qualifiers must have a minimum of 2 courts with hard court surfaces that meet FIH Standards.

All qualifiers must have a minimum of 16 teams participating.

All qualifiers must play 25-minute games, and use format provided by USA Field Hockey.

All clubs will be limited to two teams at any one Qualifying Tournament.

All Clubs must hold a current club membership with USA Field Hockey.
-
All qualifiers must follow FIH requirements for Indoor Hockey.
Important Reminder:
Teams that wish to attend qualifiers for 2013 will apply through the USA Field Hockey National Office with their 1st, 2nd, & 3rd choice of qualifying tournament. There is a $100 processing fee per application required of all teams applying for Qualifiers. The USA Field Hockey National Office will assign teams to a qualifying tournament. Qualifying tournament location will be the top priority in assigning teams. Once assigned to a Qualifying Tournament, teams must go to our web site to register for the tournament and pay the entry fee. Players will be limited to one qualifying tournament.

September 14 - Deadline for Qualifying Tournament host application to USAFH
September 28 - Announcement of Qualifying Tournaments
September 28 - Qualifying Tournament entry material available, USAFH web site
October 26 - Deadline for Qualifier applications to USAFH
November 15 - Teams qualifying tournament assignments announced
December 15, 2012 through February 3, 2013 - Qualifying Tournaments held
March 1-3, 2013 - U19 National Indoor Tournament in Richmond, VA
March 8-10, 2013 - U14 & U16 National Indoor Tournament in Virginia Beach, VA
