Athletes invited to apply for financial support

The United States Olympic Committee is accepting grant applications, via an online system, for the William E. Simon Olympic Endowment for the Support of Athletes. For information about the grant’s focus and application process, and for instructions on how to access the online application, click here.

Past USOC President William E. Simon, Sr., established the endowment in 1998. Grants are intended to provide partial support for training and competition expenses, and are awarded to athletes showing financial need. 

Two deadlines: [1] The deadline to request a password to the online system is 5 p.m. MT, Sept. 27, 2013.  You must have a password by this time to be able to apply for the grant.  [2] The application process deadline is 5 p.m. MT, Oct. 1, 2013.
