Duluth's George rink captures World Curling Tour eve

Seattle Magic - The Tyler George rink held off 2006 Olympian Cassie (Johnson) Potter Sunday afternoon to win the 2008 SuperOne Shoot-out in Eveleth, Minn. George (Duluth, Minn.) and teammates Kris Perkovich (Chisholm, Minn.), Mark Haluptzok (Bemidji, Minn.) and Kevin Johnson (Winnebago, Minn.) came back from an early deficit to defeat Potter's team, 7-6, to hand them their only loss of the World Curling Tour event. The George rink finished 6-0 to earn the $6,000 top prize.

World Supremacy - The 2008 Continental Cup of Curling concluded Sunday with Team World defeating Team North America, 208-192. U.S. teams led by Madison, Wisconsin's Debbie McCormick and Craig Brown competed as part of North America in the five-day event that is similar to golf's Ryder Cup.

Olympic Trials Accreditation - Media are encouraged to use the online form to request media accreditation for the 2010 U.S. Olympic Team Trials for Curling, Feb. 21-28, 2009, at the Broomfield Event Center in Broomfield, Colo. The form can be accessed at http://www.usacurl.org/media.acc.2010.htm. The host hotel for the event is the Omni Interlochen, located five miles from the venue.
