2013 Senior, Junior, U23 and OHR Teams Announced

Congratulations to all the athletes chosen to represent Team USA at international sprint competitions this season. They were selected based on their performance at the 2013 U.S. Sprint Team Trials in Oklahoma City, Okla, April 26-27. Click HERE for a recap of Trials.

The following athletes were nominated to the 2013 Senior World Cup Team. The 2013 World Championships Team will be named after the World Cups. The World Cup series begins in Szeged, Hungary, May 10-12.

2013 Senior World Cup Team:

Kayak Men:

Ryan Dolan (Kailua, Hawaii) – K1 200m

Tim Hornsby (Atlanta, Ga.) – K1 200m

Kayak Women:

Maggie Hogan (San Diego, Calif.) & Kaitlyn McElroy (Oklahoma City, Okla.) – K2 500m, K2 1000m

The following athletes were nominated to the 2013 U23 and Junior World Championships Teams. Welland, Canada will host the 2013 U23 and Junior World Championships on Aug. 1-4.

2013 Olympic Hopes Regatta Team:

The recently completed National Team Trials also selected Team USA for the annual Olympic Hopes Regatta – 2013 in Racice, Czech Republic in September.

This year USA Canoe Kayak selected the top 15 and 16 year olds based on their Trials performance. In addition, 17 year olds could be named pending their performance at the Junior World Championships – August 8 to 10 OKC.
