2012 Women's Canoe Development Program

To further progress the Canoe Sprint Women’s Canoe category the ICF (within the framework of the ICF Development Program) will organize and support the participation of women paddlers in a Training Camp and in an international women’s canoe competition in Boulougne, France 2012. (The races will be held for women canoeists exclusively).

The program: 

The ICF with the cooperation and financial support of the Boulogne Canoe Kayak Club (BCK) will organize a Training Camp followed by an international Junior/Senior competition at the same place. Training Camps and participation in Canoe Sprint Women’s Canoe Events. 

Date: 14th July to 27th 2012 (14 days) 

Athletes: 20 athletes from ICF member countries will be financially supported.

The following conditions apply for participation in the events: ICF and the BCK pay the entire expenses of the participation for 14 days for approximately 20 athletes 

Coach’s support and boats will be provided free of charge. Local/international travelling expenses included from and to the airport are the Participants responsibility.


Coaches and additional athletes are welcome at their own expense. 


The ICF will select athletes that will receive support in accordance with the applicant NF’s financial standard and their interest in women’s canoe category development. Camp is possible for both C1 and C2 category.
