The USA Boxing Thomas "Sarge" Johnson Scholarship Program was created to assist USA Boxing athletes attending a two or four year college, technical and/or vocational school. The grants are awarded annually based on an athletes overall application, not soley on their boxing achievements.
In order to qualify for the scholarship, applicants must be:
- A High School Graduate
- A Current USA Boxing Member
- Have been a registered member of USA Boxing for the past three consecutive years
- Have had at least two sanctioned bouts during each of the three years
