Pinweight Jordan White (Waldorf, Md.) didn’t enjoy the same success in his opening contest, dropping his World Championships debut by split decision.
Haney earned a 2-1 victory over Azerbaijan’s Elmaddin Ismaylov in their bantamweight preliminary contest on Sunday, advancing the American boxer on to a second round contest with Sabyrzhan Abilov of Kazakhstan on Tuesday afternoon.
