Lake Placid, N.Y. (Sept. 10, 2012) — The United States Bobsled & Skeleton Federation (USBSF) announced today that Carlos Diggs has joined the team to lead international sponsorship sales. Diggs, a Washington, D.C. based opportunity development consultant/agent, is charged with securing additional sponsors for the next two World Cup seasons leading up to the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia.
Diggs will socialize the unique USBSF sponsorship opportunity with a select group of organizations that meet a specific set of criteria.
"I am grateful and honored to serve and advance USBSF’s amazing mission by representing the team and the United States in the global marketplace,” Diggs said. “My goal is to quickly free up both management and the athletes to focus on more strategic priorities that will maintain their focus on winning more medals."

The U.S. is the reigning World Championship team after winning five medals, four of them gold, out of six events at the 2012 World Championships in Lake Placid, N.Y. The squad collected 86 medals during the 2011-2012 international competitive season, boasts 24 Olympic medals since 1928 (nine gold, eight silver, and seven bronze), and 56 World Cup victories since 1985 (19 gold, 16 silver, 21 bronze).
