Another year has come and gone. USA Bobsled & Skeleton had a lot to celebrate in 2015, including a pair of tour championships and yet another historical bobsled barrier broken. Check out the top-15 moments of the year as we recognize the past and look forward to ringing in an even more successful 2016.
Team USA claims 41 medals to kick off 2015-2016 sliding season

The USA Bobsled and Skeleton team was busy during the first couple of months of the 2015-2016 season. With 41 medals already credited to the American sliders, Team USA has received contributions from five of six tours, including 12 podium finishes in North American Cup races.

Culiver and McCrary lead Team USA in Sigulda skeleton European Cup

SIGULDA, LATVIA (Dec. 20)- The first half of the skeleton European Cup (EC) tour came to a close after a pair of races on the Sigulda, Latvia track Friday and Saturday. American Samantha Culiver (Scottsdale, Ariz.) led the way on the women’s side with a pair of 12th place finishes, while Austin McCrary (Colleyville, Texas) was the best American men’s slider of the weekend with a couple of top-15 results.
Team USA wins two medals in Lillehammer Youth Olympic Games Qualification races

Noah Crofton and Samuel Beach led the way for Team USA with a pair of medals in two Youth Olympic Games Qualification Series in Lillehammer, Norway Dec. 16-17. Crofton was awarded the silver medal, while Beach finished with a share of the bronze medal in the first race. American Rebecca Hass was the team’s top women’s skeleton competitor, claiming 10th in race one and Kindrick Carter of Team USA turned in a 14th place result in the first men’s skeleton race.

KOENIGSSEE, Germany (Dec. 13, 2015)- Steven Holcomb (Park City, Utah) teamed with Frank Del Duca (Bethel, Maine), Carlo Valdes (Newport Beach, Calif.) and Sam McGuffie (Cypress, Texas) to finish 12th in the final World Cup race of 2015. The three-time Olympic medalist led Team USA’s effort in Koenigssee’s four-person bobsled competition, and Americans Nick Cunningham (Monterey, Calif.), Casey Wickline (Greenville, S.C.), James Reed (Garmisch, Germany) and Sam Michener (Gresham, Ore.) were close behind in 14th.

Antoine leads men's skeleton team in final World Cup of 2015

Matt Antoine (Prairie du Chien, Wis.) capped the first half of the World Cup season with a 15th place finish in Koenigssee, Germany, and the 2014 Olympic bronze medalist said he’s looking forward to the holiday break and hopes to regroup after a disappointing start to the season.
