Bobsled and Skeleton World Cup Tour 
Begins in Winterberg, Germany

WINTERBERG, Germany- The 2008-09 bobsled and skeleton World Cup tour will kick off on Friday, November 28th in Winterberg, Germany.  After several weeks of race-offs, the U.S. will field a competitive team of 22 athletes.  

The schedule is as follows, with all times listed in EST:

Friday, Nov. 28th:
  • Women's Skeleton at 3 am
  • Men's Skeleton at 7 am

Saturday, Nov. 29th:
  • Women's Bobsled at 3 am
  • Men's two-man Bobsled at 6:30 am

Sunday, Nov. 30th:
  • Men's four-man bobsled at 5:30 am

The roster of skeleton athletes includes defending World Cup Champion Katie Uhlaender (Breckenridge, Colo.), 2007 World Champion Noelle Pikus-Pace (Orem, Utah), 2007 World Cup Champion Zach Lund (Salt Lake City, Utah), and World medalist Eric Bernotas (Avondale, Pa.).

Bobsled pilots entered into this weekend's race include 2007 overall World Cup Champion Steven Holcomb (Park City, Utah), 2002 Olympic silver medalist Todd Hays (Del Rio, Texas), 2006 Olympic silver medalist Shauna Rohbock (Park City, Utah), and up-and-coming driver Erin Pac (Farmington, Conn.).  

World Cup coverage from Winterberg will be offered as same-day video on- demand starting on Friday, November 28th-30th on  Universal Sports TV will offer one-hour broadcasts of the event from Dec. 2nd-4th.   Visit UniversalSports.c
