USA then faced Puerto Rico and we were leading 2-1 when the lights went out on the 3rd game for GD at 20 all. USA pulled through with a win of 24-22 and advanced to the playoffs as first in the group.
In the playoffs, USA played against Brazil. The XD lost the first match. Our GS brought home the needed win with 1-1 tie. The BS game was another close 3 game match; finishing the last game with a winning score of 24-22. Our GD finished the job with a win, sending USA to the final.
In the final, USA played against last year runner up, Peru. Our XD fought hard and lost in 3 game. The GS safely brought home a win to tie score with 1-1. Then, came BS.
