USAB Seeks 2010 Youth Olympic Games Team Leader / Coach

USA Badminton offers the 2010 Youth Olympic Games (YOG) Team Leader / Coach Position for application to all its high performance coaches. USAB High Performance (HP) coaches are those coaches who have led USA teams to world class events and must have held the position of head coach or assistant coach in the Youth Olympic Games Qualifiers, World Junior Championships, World Championships, Thomas Cup, Uber Cup, Sudirman Cup, Pan American Games (or equivalent Continental Championships), or Olympic Games.

The first YOG will be held in Singapore from 14 - 26 August 2010. This is a major multi sport event for youth between the ages of 14 - 18 years old. The YOG will provide international competition for the world's youth. It will also provide cultural, social and educational experiences for competing athletes. Badminton is one of the YOG sports for Singapore 2010 with a maximum of 64 players qualifying. The competition will be a singles competition for men (32) and women (32).

This position is only open to the USAB HP coaches who apply for this position.
