Eva Lee Kicks off Badminton Competition for USA

Eva Lee to Kick Off the Competition for the the 2008 Olympic Games Tomorrow for the USA Badminton Team
 
BEIJING, China- Eva Lee (Orange, Calif.) will get the competition underway for the USA Badminton Team at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China tomorrow, August 9 as she competes in the opening round of the women's singles competition.  Lee will face a familiar rival from Canada as she is schedule to go up against Anna Rice at 14:00 Beijing Time.  The badminton competition for the 2008 Olympic Games is being held at the Beijing University of Technology Gymnasium.
 
Lee's teammates Howard Bach (San Francisco, Calif./Orange, Calif.), Mesinee "May" Mangkalakiri (Garden Grove, Calif.), Khan "Bob" Malaythong (Rockville, Md./Orange, Calif.), and Raju Rai (Atlanta, Ga./Anaheim, Calif.) will be cheering her on before they all begin competition later in the week.
 
Lee will also be competing in women's doubles with Mangkalakiri.  Lee and Mangkalakiri are paired against Yanmei Jiang and Yujia Li of Senegal on August 10 at 12:05.
 
The team is coached by Zi Min Cai (Orange, Calif.).
