Winner Announced for Explore Archery Giveaway

By USA Archery | May 28, 2014, 12 a.m. (ET)

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - USA Archery has announced the winner of its recent Explore Archery giveaway, used to kick off the launch of this new nationwide program. South Jersey Archery Explorers, based in New Jersey and led by Frederick and Andrea Hennig, received the following Explore Archery prize pack, filled with items from USA Archery’s online shop:

    One Explore Archery Book

Set of 10 Explore Archery Achievement Award Packs

    3 Morrell Targets

    1 Archery Maintenance Repair Kit

Fredrick and Andrea Hennig are USA Archery Level 1 Instructors, and run archery activities for several Girl Scout programs in New Jersey. When looking for new programing, they felt that Explore Archery would be the perfect fit.

“As an instructor I like that it has structure and it has a lot of really cool activities with awards,” Hennig explained. “It is a nice stepping stone to point the archers in the right direction to do even more, like Junior Olympic Archery Development. The guide has a lot to offer with how you can set up a session and not be too complicated. This new program USA Archery has come up with gets me excited that we can do more as a small unit.”

Explore Archery offers a full curriculum and a variety of activities to help instructors introduce and teach archery while keeping the focus on fun. “We are looking forward to our first real session with the new material and they want to try the filled balloon activities first,” noted Hennig.

It’s simple to start an Explore Archery program of your own – in just 5 easy steps. You can also use our program locator to find an Explore Archery program near you.
